Rock Crawling Demo

Come check out this extreme form of off road driving put on by American Vintage 4X4 and Boise Idaho Jeep Club! In rock crawling, drivers drive highly modified four-wheel-drive vehicles such as trucks, and  Jeeps over very harsh terrain. The Expo is featuring a custom course built especially for this event.

Rock crawling is about slow-speed, careful and precise driving, and high torque generated through large gear reductions in the vehicles drivetrain. Rock crawlers often drive up, down and across obstacles that would appear impassable.

Tom Claycomb - Glassing for Big Game

If you learn to glass properly it will open up a whole new world for you. You’ll start seeing a lot more animals than you ever have. I teach this seminar all over the country and yet every time I glass, it constantly amazes me how much more game I see.

SMALL GAME HUNTING WITH AIR RIFLES

In this seminar you will learn about the different designs of modern air guns, the good and bad of each model, different designs of pellets and how to get into the modern airgun world. The modern airgun is not your old Ralphie’s Red Ryder. They are a real gun and some spit out pellets at 1,450 fps. Remember, a .22 only cruises along at 1,250 fps.

This air riffle will be raffled off, come attend the seminar to be entered for a chance to win!

Tom Claycomb - How to Properly Sharpen a Knife

HOW TO PROPERLY SHARPEN A KNIFE

I always say that 100% of the outdoorsmen use a knife and yet I bet less than 5% can sharpen one. It does take some skill but it doesn’t require a PhD. Come to this seminar and I’ll teach you how to sharpen your knife. I’ll also teach you how to steel your boning knives.

The first 24 attendees will get a free 2-step sharpener! One lucky attendee will get a FREE sharpening stone. Attendees can enter for a chance to win a Boning Knife, donated by Dexter Russell.

If you’re like 90% of hunters, your meat processing consists of “burger and steaks”. But, believe it or not, you can have delicious, easy meals from the entire animal without grinding any of it. We’ll show a failsafe “set it and forget it” recipe to use with a venison shoulder.

We understand.  The grill is almost like a friend. It has its own personality, its own way of cooking things, and brings joy to you and your family.  But when you run out of propane your heart sinks because now you have to stop grilling and go get more. But that’s not you. You’re a real griller, and you always have spare propane!  Even you will leave this session with a stronger affection for your grill. Or, how about we just take our grilling game up to Grilling Jedi together? BBQ Champion Adrian Alvi, creator and owner of Save the Day Seasonings, will demonstrate how to create impactful grilled meats and foods of all kinds, and share recipes and ideas that you can put into use right away!

PROPER KNIFE SELECTION FOR YOUR OUTDOOR NEEDS

A knife is a tool. Just like a screw driver. You need 5 different designs of knives in the outdoor world. And no! One knife won’t serve all of your needs. You don’t just have one screwdriver do you? There are a lot of weird designed knives on the market now. Before you purchase a knife, you need to determine what task you wish to perform. Attend this seminar and you’ll leave knowing what design works best for which job. We will not cover tactical knives, just which designs fit best in our Outdoor World.

Attendees can enter for a chance to win a Boning Knife, donated by Dexter Russell.
