Adam Nyland, DVM, MS
Adam M. Nylund, DVM, MS, is a veterinary surgeon at WestVet Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Boise, Idaho. He completed his Bachelor of Art degree in Biology and Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Biology at The University of Montana in Missoula, MT, in 2009. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2013 from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. He then spent the next five years receiving advanced training through internship and residency programs to become specialized in small animal surgery. During his surgical residency, he also completed his Masters of Science degree in Veterinary Sciences at Washington State University in Pullman, WA.
Dr. Nylund has been involved with several research projects. He was invited to present some of these at various veterinary conferences. His research has been primarily focused on minimally invasive surgery, particularly on new techniques and instruments for laparoscopy and thoracoscopy. He also has an interest in total joint replacement surgeries.
Dr. Nylund grew up next to the Bob Marshal Wilderness in Montana and has always enjoyed his time spent in the outdoors. His other hobbies include restoring muscle cars and building hardwood furniture.
